Server Position Summary:

The ideal Server ensures that all Guests are provided with prompt, friendly service. Servers describe menu items, assist in making food and beverage selections, take and enter orders, deliver food and beverages, process payments, and assist team members in all aspects of ensuring Guest satisfaction at Bella Vida.

Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests’ needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

The right person will be passionate about food and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working as a Server in a bustling, fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities:

• Must be friendly, happy, upbeat, outgoing and positive.
• Observant and responsive, always alert to Guests’ needs.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to learn both typical POS and hand held and other necessary seating and delivery devices.
• Ability to work effectively within a Team.
• Available for Training prior to going on the floor.
• Ability to learn and memorize menu items and make suggestions
• Participate in dining room setting: décor, condiments, service plates, etc.
• Assist Guests in food and beverage selections, suggesting courses, explaining specialties and answering food questions.
• Protect establishment and Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a full service, high volume establishment.
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
• Continuous use of hands, arms, bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Ability to carry 35 pounds as needed.
• Ability to carry trays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
