Bella Vida Garden Cafe is looking for an engaging, hard-working Hostess seeking a great opportunity. Hostess Position Summary:

Bella Vida Garden Cafe is seeking ad enthusiastic Hostess to ensure our Guests are greeted with warmth, seated and served, setting the stage for the Guests’ overall positive experience. With assistance and supervision of the Managers, the Hosts control the seamless flow of Guests into the restaurant, rotating Guests fairly into different Server sections. Hostesses also assist with a number of Front of the House functions, assuring guest satisfaction at Bella Vida.

Responsibilities:

• Must be friendly, happy, upbeat, outgoing and positive.
• Observant and responsive, alert to Guests’ needs in the dining room assuring they have been approached and greeted interceding if necessary
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to learn both typical POS and hand held devices.
• Ability to work effectively within a Team.
• Available for Training prior to going on the floor.
• Participate in the dining room setting: décor, condiments, lighting candles, opening & serving wine, set ups, etc.
• Answer the phones and assist with Take Out orders.
• Assist with cleaning and moving tables and chairs.
• Assist Guests in food and beverage selections, suggesting courses, explaining specialties and answering food questions.
• Protect establishment and Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Requirements:

• Able to take direction, multi-task, and demonstrate organizational skills.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible.
• Must work well in a Team environment.
• Desire to grow and learn within the restaurant and hospitality industry
• High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Amiable, outgoing, organized High School students would be considered.
• Some restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train.
• Be flexible with schedule, work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation required.
